About Us

Built by a Builder. Made for the Build.

My name is Shelton Einerwold, the Founder of Collaborative Concepts Inc.

I learned early that the best way to understand something is to get your hands on it and pull it apart, figure out how it works, and put it back together better than you found it.

That instinct never left me. It just evolved.

How It Started

Five years ago I got into Harley-Davidson®, and the same itch hit me  the need to customize, to dial things in, to make it mine. During one build, I was trying to figure out wheel spacing and needed axle spacers. I printed a set, got it wrong, printed again, got it wrong again. Multiple tries, a lot of trial and error.

And then it hit me: why isn't there a kit for doing this?

That question is where Collaborative Concepts Inc was born — right here in Mitchell, South Dakota, in a shop where the answer to every problem starts with making something with your hands.

The 3D Printing Process

I taught myself CAD and 3D printing the same way I've learned everything else, by just doing it. There's something powerful about designing a part on screen and then holding a physical version of it in your hands minutes later. It closes the loop between idea and reality faster than anything I've ever worked with.

Every tool and product we make starts as a real problem I or another builder ran into. It gets designed, printed, tested, and refined until it actually works the way it should. No shortcuts. If it doesn't hold up in the shop, it doesn't ship.

Collaboration Fuels Creation

The name isn't just a tagline, it's how I believe the best things get made. Life is better when we work together. Minds working in unison create better results than any one person working alone.

That's why the community matters so much to us. Whether it's feedback from a fellow builder, a customer who tells us what they wish existed, or two people in a garage figuring something out together, that collaboration is what pushes the work forward.

When you buy from Collaborative Concepts, you're not just getting a tool. You're part of that loop.

Why Harley-Davidson® Builders

Harley riders are a specific breed. They don't just ride, they build, customize, and obsess over the details. They deserve tools made with that same obsession. The right tool doesn't just make a job easier; it makes the whole build better. That's what we're here to make.

From Mitchell, South Dakota, built by hand, designed with purpose.

Build • Ride • Create.
